Purge & Remove Media
Bulk attachment purges and single-post removals with a critique.
Media purge
A purge removes one user's attachment posts from every channel in the server, threads included. Only the support-ticket channel and its threads are excluded (they may hold investigation evidence).
- Link-only and embed-only posts stay put.
- The same purge runs when a member leaves the server.
- Messages the bot cannot access, deletions Discord rejects, and posts omitted from the message index may remain after a purge.
Manage your media
/media-manage privately lists your indexed uploads by channel and filename, including channels you cannot currently open. Former and banned members get the same catalog on the authenticated privacy page after Discord sign-in.
- Each item is one whole Discord post. Deleting it removes every attachment in that post.
- Channel and server-wide purges are confirmed, queued, and restart-safe.
- Marshal does not store message content or media files. It keeps limited index metadata, sanitized filenames included. Hard to leak what it never had.
- The web catalog's Fetch preview button loads a post's attachments live from Discord in your browser, so previews can be slow, expired, or unavailable. The Discord panel lists filenames only.
Remove Bad Media
Staff can pull a single media post. The poster gets a Marshal-voiced DM with general photo tips (what drags a shot down, what makes one land) and a nudge to reshoot and repost. The tips are standing advice, not the reason for the removal. Closed DMs do not block the removal.
Remove Misplaced Media
Staff can pull a post that is off topic or in the wrong channel. The poster gets a Marshal-voiced DM making clear the post itself was fine, the placement was not, with a nudge to find the right channel and repost. Closed DMs do not block the removal.
