Quips

Mention Marshal or reply to one of its messages and you get a short comeback. There are no preset categories: it reads what you actually said and answers that, so the reply is about your message rather than a bucket it fell into.

Clear taunts and deliberate crude bait normally earn one pointed comeback. He roasts the attempt, not your appearance or vulnerabilities. Genuine questions, complaints, affection, and distress are not targets; moods shape the bite without requiring accumulated annoyance. Repeated bait gets a shorter dismissal, not the same joke again.

• Media-only and bot-chat channels suppress quips. The posted rules and permission lockouts already do the talking there.
• One genuine quip per user per minute. Keep pinging and Marshal gets annoyed, then more annoyed, then silent, then a stern warning and a 5-minute lockout.

Ask about current public information and Marshal can search the web, then answer with clickable sources. Sources are evidence, not a guarantee. This does not give him new moderation powers.

Holiday Marshal

On the server's fixed UTC-4 clock: New Year's Day covers January 1; Valentine's Day covers February 1-14; St. Patrick's Day covers March 14-17; Easter covers the seven days ending on Western/Gregorian Easter Sunday; April Fools' Day covers April 1 only and wins that day if Easter overlaps, with Easter resuming April 2; the Fourth of July covers July 1-4; Halloween covers October; U.S. Thanksgiving runs November 1 through the fourth Thursday, inclusive; Christmas covers December 1-25; and New Year's Eve is December 31 only. Each window brings a themed profile picture and suitable seasonal guidance for replies, Lab atmosphere, and generated images, used as a preference where it suits the moment rather than a compulsion. Marshal's usual identity, rules, safety, and your explicit preferences still come first.

The original avatar returns between holidays and after the last window, including after downtime. Image reuse stays within the current season. Already accepted replies and pictures may finish arriving after a boundary.

Emoji reacts

Eligible posts may also get a wordless auto-reaction. Reacts are independent of quips and can land together. Bot-chat channels get none.

• A blush react on allowed media or flash posts when that channel toggle is enabled

A table-flip emoticon gets a random unflip reply in any channel where Marshal may chat (not media-only or bot-chat). Someone has to put the table back.

Generated replies use OpenAI and bounded conversation context. Directed exchanges are kept briefly for continuity; recent room chatter is held only in memory. Web search may send model-authored queries to search providers. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.

Welcomes

With the Welcome toggle on, Marshal posts a one-time welcome the first time a qualifying new member speaks in that channel and points them at /kink pick. You get one bot welcome. Marshal spends it gladly.

• Only members who join after the feature is enabled qualify. No retroactive welcomes.
• One welcome per member per server for as long as the saved welcome record is retained. Leaving and rejoining does not reset it.
• Pending flags survive restarts, and joins during downtime are reconciled on startup.

Poof messages

When a flash upload expires, Marshal removes it with a brief line and the signature poof emoji. Scene's over.

Removal notices

Removed media posts get a short notice explaining what happened. Details are in Media channels.

Photo critiques

Remove Bad Media sends a randomized critique by DM; Remove Misplaced Media sends a wrong-place notice instead. See Purge & remove.
